Martin Cooney

Martin Cooney received a Ph.D. degree in systems innovation, engineering science, from Osaka University, Japan, in 2014; from 2008 to 2014, he was also an intern researcher at Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), Kyoto. Since 2014, he has been a researcher at the Intelligent Systems Lab at Halmstad University, Sweden, and part of the health tech and intelligent home groups; recently, from May to June, 2017, he was also a visiting researcher at Karde in Oslo, Norway. His interest is sensing and actuation strategies for robots intended to support well-being in interacting persons, also through entertainment and art.
