Robin Wilton currently leads the Internet Society's work on data ethics, as an element of trust in the Internet. His background is in digital identity, security and privacy, and he is active in the technical, academic and policy domains on topics of online privacy and ethical data-handling.
He joined the Internet Society in 2012, and is one of its representatives in the Council of Europe’s committee on privacy and data protection, and the OECD’s Internet Technical Advisory Committee. He is also a board member of the Kantara Initiative – a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing trust in digital identity.
