Therese is a consultant at the Open Data Institute, specialising in service design models with open data, government data initiatives, global development and start-up accelerators. She currently leads programmes with the UK government, Ukraine and Malaysia. Holding a Masters in economics, Therese's research work focuses on the economic impact of open data initiatives.
Prior to joining the ODI, Therese worked in the South African National Treasury, where the use and sharing of financial data is fundamental to the democratic process and public policy making. She was involved in municipal financial open data initiatives and helped cities to use this data for long-term financial planning. Before that, Therese worked in management consulting and donor organisations.
